DAY 1 – Transfer to hotel-Göreme Open Air Museum
Upon arrival to Cappadocia, meet the guide & deluxe tour mini-van and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the availability of early C/in, free time for freshen-up for ½, then take a start discovering the highlights; Göreme Open Air Museum, awe-inspiring painted churches built by exiled Christians during the Roman era. You will have your lunch at a very special restaurant where you taste local dishes. A short walk to Zelve – Paşabağ where you will find the most interesting fairy chimneys and the first example of monk’s chapel. Return to hotel.
DAY 2 – Derinkuyu Underground City-Nar Crater Lake-Ihlara/Trekking
Just after breakfast, meet the guide and deluxe mini-van at the hotel, keep on exploring Cappadocia; Derinkuyu Underground City, the best example of the underground cities. Stop at Nar Göl (Crater Lake is the firmly proof of the region was the volcanic area. There is hot spring water by the lake. Before back the hotel, stop at Ağzıkarahan Caravanserai ( Oil Stations of Camels on the Silk Road!!!!!!! ) Return to hotel.
DAY 3 – Trekking through the breathtaking valleys-Avanos for pottery
( depending on the weather condition & your desire) Early morning you will be picked up from the hotel for sun rise with hot air balloon soaring above the landscape, picking out landmarks never before noticed. Back to hotel. After breakfast, depart for a trekking tour; stopping at some panoramic points where you will catch of breathtaking scenery arrive The Ak(White) valley is the venue for a walk among the most interesting fairy chimneys seems like a huge pinpoint and for a close-up view of this spectacular landscape ( descent in 2-2,5 hrs./dirt path. Total walk distance in 6km.) . Then, local tastes at an authentic restaurant Visit to Avanos for traditional handicraft as pottery manufacturing by Hittite technique and Tiles & Plates. Then, close witness to fairy chimney at Devrent Valley. Stop at the wine factory to taste of delicious Cappadocian wines. A short stop at Pigeon Valley to see pigeon houses on slopes of valleys. Return to hotel.
DAY 4 – Sinasos-Sobesos-Soandos
After breakfast at the hotel, photo-pause at “Üç Güzeller” for typical Cappadocia Fairy Chimneys. A short visit to Mustafapasa (Sinasos) that is an old Greek town with its spectacular old Greek houses; very fine examples of late Greek settlements and architecture. Continue to Keslik Monastery near Cemil that hides its frescoes behind a very thin smoke layer that we can only see by torch light. Sahinefendi for Sobesos, very recent discovered (01 May 2002) ancient Roman city (mosaic houses & Archaeological excavation site). Arrive to Soğanlı village. You can have your lunch in the village ( you should try “Menemen” , very delicious omelet ). Then, excursion through the Soganli Valley, Open Air Museum near a typical Cappadocian village with its different style Rock-Cut churches and frescoes. Villages in the valleys, surrounded by the “table top” mountains, are spectacular. Return to hotel.
DAY 5– Cappadocia TRANSFER TO AIRPORT to back to home with full of energy and dozens of good memories, may be the plans for the next holiday…
